Issue 10
Jennifer Barker is a lifelong artist, first taking interest in drawing as a child. She taught herself both life drawing and painting, but moved away from the realistic and towards the abstract for its expressional and intellectual appeal. Through collegiate classes such as Sculpture, Photography, and Wood and Metal Fabrication, she has vastly broadened her skillset, expanding how she thinks about and practices her art. She is a working artist studying for her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture at the University of Houston. She is currently most interested in exploring performance art, activist art, and expanding her metal work practice. |
