Annika Russell is from Portage, MI. She is currently attending Albion College and anticipates graduation in 2018 with a B.A. in studio art and art history. While she firstly considers herself a cartoonist and aspiring web comic artist focusing on LGBTQIA+ representation, she was introduced to abstract oil painting about two years ago and has taken enthusiastically to it. Since then, she has also begun to experiment with gouache, watercolor, ink, collage, found objects, and glitter. She has previously shown her work at Albion City Hall, and is currently showing work at the East End Gallery in Marshall, MI. |
